CHAUSSEE 36

Chaussee 36 is a former Prussian officer's house built in 1886. During this time the area was called Oranienburg and was a Berlin suburb. Many of the historical elements of the building have survived the turbulent times and hard times that Berlin experienced in the 20th century. Its located directly on the famous Friedrichstrasse, between „Nordbahnhof“ station and Grand Central and close to where the former wall divided East and West Berlin until 1989. The façade of the venue is a heritage of the GDR architecture and became a monument of the Berlin Wall due to the part of the original wall displayed. It offers more than 600 sqm of space, including the Bel Etage with a ceiling hight of more than 4 meters, furnished appartmens, flats and a spacious penthouse suit, a roof top and a roof garden. The lounge is the perfect location for both private parties and company events.
